Kawakawa infused oil

Kawakawa Infused Oil, derived from the leaves of the Macropiper excelsum plant native to New Zealand, is a traditional healing oil celebrated for its anti-inflammatory, soothing, and skin-repairing properties. Infused with antioxidants, myristicin, and diayangambin, kawakawa oil is known for its ability to calm irritated skin, promote wound healing, and restore skin balance. Traditionally used in Māori medicine, this oil is gaining popularity for its gentle yet powerful benefits, particularly for those with sensitive or problem-prone skin.

Myristicin:

Myristicin is a natural compound found in kawakawa leaves with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Myristicin helps reduce inflammation and soothes irritated skin, making it ideal for conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and rashes. Its calming effects provide relief from itching, redness, and discomfort, while also aiding in wound healing and skin repair.

Diayangambin:

Diayangambin is a lignan compound known for its immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory properties. Diayangambin helps to reduce skin inflammation and can assist in balancing the skin’s immune response, promoting healthier skin over time. It is especially beneficial for irritated or sensitive skin types, helping to calm and protect the skin from further irritation.

Antioxidants:

Kawakawa is rich in natural antioxidants that protect the skin from oxidative stress caused by environmental factors like pollution and UV radiation. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals, preventing premature aging and skin damage. They also promote skin healing and regeneration, contributing to a more youthful and radiant complexion. These compounds help repair damaged skin cells and protect the skin's natural barrier function.

Fatty Acids:

Kawakawa infused oil contains essential fatty acids that nourish and hydrate the skin, supporting its natural moisture barrier. These fatty acids enhance the skin’s hydration levels, improving elasticity and suppleness. They also support skin healing, helping to restore damaged or dry skin, making kawakawa oil ideal for promoting soft, healthy skin.

Tannins:

Tannins are astringent compounds found in kawakawa that help tone and tighten the skin. Tannins help to minimize the appearance of pores, reduce excess oil production, and promote a smooth, even complexion. They provide a balancing effect, making kawakawa oil suitable for both oily and combination skin types.
