Pomegranate seed oil

Pomegranate Seed Oil, cold-pressed from the seeds of the Punica granatum fruit, is a luxurious and nutrient-dense oil known for its rejuvenating, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. Rich in punicic acid, vitamin C, and polyphenols, this oil promotes skin elasticity, accelerates skin regeneration, and combats signs of aging. Its high concentration of essential fatty acids makes it a powerful hydrator that restores the skin’s moisture barrier, making it ideal for mature and dry skin types.

Punicic Acid (Omega-5 Fatty Acid):

Punicic acid, a unique polyunsaturated fatty acid, is the primary active compound in pomegranate seed oil, known for its powerful anti-inflammatory and regenerative effects. Punicic acid promotes collagen synthesis, improves skin elasticity, and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It also helps calm inflamed skin, making it suitable for those with conditions like eczema and psoriasis. Its regenerative properties support skin healing and renewal, helping to repair damaged skin.

Ellagic Acid:

Ellagic acid is a potent antioxidant polyphenol found in pomegranate seeds, known for its ability to neutralize free radicals. Ellagic acid protects the skin from environmental damage caused by UV radiation and pollution. It helps prevent premature aging by reducing oxidative stress and preventing the breakdown of collagen. Additionally, it brightens the complexion and reduces hyperpigmentation, resulting in a more even skin tone.

Vitamin C:

Pomegranate seed oil contains high levels of vitamin C, a water-soluble antioxidant essential for collagen production and skin repair. Vitamin C helps brighten the skin, fade dark spots, and boost collagen production, resulting in a firmer and more youthful appearance. Its antioxidant properties also protect the skin from environmental damage and improve skin texture and tone over time.

Flavonoids:

Flavonoids are powerful plant compounds with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Flavonoids help soothe inflamed or irritated skin and protect it from oxidative damage. They also work synergistically with vitamin C to enhance skin brightness and reduce the appearance of discoloration and sunspots.

Phytosterols:

Phytosterols are plant-derived compounds that mimic the structure of cholesterol and play a key role in maintaining the skin’s barrier function. Phytosterols strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier, enhancing hydration and preventing water loss. This makes pomegranate seed oil particularly beneficial for dry, sensitive, or mature skin. Phytosterols also help reduce inflammation, supporting the skin’s natural healing processes.
